Ms. Valdez received a B.S. in Economics with Finance Applications from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctorate degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. She is a life-long Dallas resident who has served the community in a variety of civic organizations. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her two black labrador retrievers, and traveling.
Ms. Valdez has gained invaluable legal knowledge throughout her lengthy tenure as a criminal prosecutor at the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and subsequently practicing as a personal injury attorney. She has many years of trial experience, before both judge and jury, as well as extensive experience in negotiating successful settlements on behalf of her clients. She has represented clients in housing matters, including evictions, through her work as an attorney with the Housing Preservation Project at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.
