
Kimberly A. Lawler
My experience is in commercial real estate transactions and finance, with a primary concentration on multifamily lending. I take pride in providing excellent service to my clients, assisting banks and commercial loan originators in connection with affordable housing project financing that benefits the community.
Ms. Lawler received her B.A. from the University of Notre Dame in 2002 and J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2005. In law school, she served as executive editor of the Ohio State Journal of Criminal Law and was a judicial extern for the Hon. Jeffrey S. Sutton of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Prior to joining Higier Allen & Lautin, she practiced as an associate with the Washington, DC and Dallas offices of Jones Day.
Ms. Lawler enjoys reading science fiction and listening to podcasts, but mainly spends her free time keeping her five boys outside as much as possible.
Ms. Lawler has years of experience in commercial real estate across a wide range of industries and asset classes. She has represented lenders, sellers, and purchasers in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, and financings involving all types of commercial properties, including office, retail, mixed use, hotel, multifamily, and industrial parks, as well as wind farm and communication tower properties.
Currently, Ms. Lawler’s practice concentrates on multifamily lending, as she represents Fannie Mae delegated and Freddie Mac lenders including Arbor, NewPoint, Prudential, Bellwether, and Greystone, as well as Wells Fargo’s Community Lending and Investment and Commercial Real Estate groups.
Ms. Lawler also represents commercial landlords with respect to leasing matters for office, retail and industrial properties.
Ms. Lawler is admitted to the state bars of Texas and Florida. She is a member of, or affiliated with, the following groups:
