Jong Kim concentrates her practice in all areas of real estate and finance with an emphasis on multifamily lending. She represents national lenders and loan servicers in the origination, sale and servicing of loan transactions sold to secondary market investors, primarily Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. She serves as lead counsel on a wide range of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac loan products as well as loans with features such as tax credits, housing assistance payments contracts, tenancy in common borrowers, preferred equity and multi-state and multi-property loan portfolios. She also represents financial institutions and banks on a variety of loan products such as conventional loans, construction loans, bridge financing and permanent loan conversions.
Jong has significant experience in many aspects of commercial mortgage lending, including senior, mezzanine and subordinate financing, floating and fixed rate loans, loan servicing (modifications, transfers and assumptions), problem loan workouts and restructurings, foreclosures, and dealing with all types of commercial properties, including multifamily, manufactured housing, condominiums, mixed use, retail, office, hotel and industrial properties. She also represents real estate developers, owners and operators in the acquisition, ownership, leasing and disposition of real estate.
